My journey in early childhood education began in 2017, when I started working in childcare. For three years, I had the privilege of helping young children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in education, so I enrolled in a master's program in teaching and learning.
Before beginning graduate school, I traveled to Phayao, Thailand, where I spent six months teaching English as a foreign language to kindergarten students. When I returned home, I completed my degree and began my career as a public school teacher.
For the past five years, I have taught first grade. While I have truly enjoyed helping my students learn and succeed, I have found myself drawn back to early childhood education. There is something special about the curiosity, wonder, and excitement that young children bring as they explore the world for the first time.
Opening Little Deer Nursery School allows me to combine my passion for teaching with a warm, nurturing home environment where children can feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. It is a privilege to be part of these important early years, and I look forward to partnering with families to help each child thrive.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and your family soon!
Warmly,
Katrina
